Hi, I am Pete, a multidisciplinary creative specialising in fun and elevating illustration.

I’m Essex born and Plymouth bred and still very much rooted in the heart of Plymouth where I have lived most of my life. No, I’m not a sea swimmer, but I do love living by the coast.

When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family and partner in crime (life), Sam, with whom we have 4 kids between us. A very full house indeed. By day (and sometimes night) I am an illustrator who has been working in the creative industry for coming up to 20 years. I’m a seasoned, creative vet you might say. My hair is very “salt and pepper” at the moment anyway.

I love my job and my life and feel very blessed to have loving people around me and to be able to live a creative life.

  • Illustration is a strong medium which can offer something unique and ownable in a sea of stock imagery and AI images.

    Whether it’s illustrations for branding or for editorial… I have an adaptive hand and a knack for conceptual thinking to bring character and storytelling to your brief.

    Animation through explainer videos and motion graphics.

  • By day I am usually tied up with an in-house, full time graphic design job. I use weekends and evenings to work as an illustrator.

    I am much better suited for longer projects, rather than quick turn around illustration work.

  • I combine a thoughtful, concept driven approach in everything I do, which aims to leave a lasting impact and raise a smile or two.

  • I predominantly illustrate in ink using my trusty Pentel brush pen, but can work digitally and adapt depending on a clients requirements.

    When working digitally on the iPad, I use either Procreate or Adobe Fresco drawing apps. As with my analogue work, I prefer an inky based digital brush.

    I am also extremely proficient in Adobe software including Photoshop and Illustrator. Again, depending on the requirements of the project will depend on what I use.

  • I offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, I usually provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
