I was commissioned by Kristjan and Kadri-Liis from Estonian based creative agency, Sweep, to bring to life a series of supporting illustrative characters for a new e-residency podcast, Winning Friends.
Winning Friends discusses real stories of how connections and digital tools lead to global opportunities and show how without borders it can bring businesses closer together.
The podcast is filmed and recorded in a modern reimagining of a cafe as the ultimate networking hub.
With all this in mind, I was tasked to personify two main characters: the coffee cup and the globe. The coffee cup represents warmth and everyday comfort, while the globe symbolises global business and broader connections.
Together, as companions, they reflect the harmony between cosy friendship and international ambition.
In addition, I created a suite of assets, pointing arms and facial expressions, so the team and client could adapt their marketing materials accordingly for almost every requirement.
Finally, I was tasked with making a couple of short outro animations for their YouTube channel. I utilised a blend of After Effects character animation and then rotoscoped the final pieces frame by frame in Adobe Photoshop.
