On a professional and personal note

Things change…

Seasons change, which is a phrase I like to batter about a bit. Like the transition to the summer these past weeks it’s all change for me right now. Seasons change, things change and people change. Change is good, but a bit awkward when you’re in between multiple states. Still, the awkward bit is only ever temporary and before you know it you’re out the other side.

On a professional note…
A big transition I made a few months ago was leaving my freelance life to go back to being employed. Over this time I have been working for Go South West here in Plymouth at the Citybus depot. Looking back over my time there so far I can safely say it has been a great decision. I have had lots of lovely creative projects to work on and everyone I’ve met at the office has been super nice. That’s the dream isn’t it? A job you enjoy and nice people to work with. On top of this, I passed my 3 month probation period… which is also very nice!

On a personal note…
Personally I’m doing ok, but I’m in a state of change after a long term relationship has recently ended. It’s been a difficult time, as all break ups are, with tears and uncertainty. Currently I’m living with my parents which has been nice. Really lovely to know that I’ve got a place to stay whatever the situation. Still, it’s all only temporary until I get myself and my kids, Jack and Mia, settled again.

Time. Things take time
The thing with change is over time you can find yourself in a new reality. A better or worse off position depends on a lot of things I guess. Still, it’s hard to see the wood through the trees when you’re in the midst of a funk. Whether you welcome change or fear it, change is inevitable. Only when giving life time and adapting one’s sails accordingly can we keep our soul’s ship on a steady course. Whether it’s your career or a personal matter, you have to adapt and keep moving forward. In any case, you don’t need to solve everything right away, take your time.
